Cyclist Injured Following Pothole Collision

A cyclist from Surrey is reported claiming personal injury compensation from the City Council, after receiving a number of injuries in a cycling accident, caused by a pothole.

Reports have stated that earlier this month the cyclist, who was cycling home from his friends, was flipped over the handlebars of his bike and knocked unconscious after hitting the road surface, when his bike hit a pothole.

Due to the impact of the accident, the cyclist suffered a broken nose, fractured eye socket and required a number of stitches after his teeth went through his lip. He has also stated that despite never being involved in an accident before, it will be a long time until he rides again.

As personal injury solicitors we understand and appreciate that being involved in an accident which was not your fault can not only leave physical but also mental injuries, which is why we provide tailored, impartial personal injury advice to help injured parties receive the compensation they deserve.

Our personal injury solicitors are also aware of the potential injury risks potholes cause to cyclists and other road users; and for those who have been injured in such an accident, we will listen to your claim, before advising on whether we can assist you in making a personal injury claim against the local authority if the accident was due to their negligence.
