Fall in KSI’s on London’s Roads

Recently published figures have revealed that accidents on London’s roads, which resulted in serious or fatal injuries, declined overall last year compared to 2012.

The figures which were published by Transport for London have revealed that during the last year, there were 132 people fatally injured on the roads within London, which is a slight decrease on figures for 2012.

A breakdown of the figures revealed that there was a slight breakdown in the number of pedestrians fatally injured, compared to 2012’s figures; whilst the number of cyclists who were fatally injured remained the same year-on-year, at 14.

The figures have also revealed that when combining fatal and serious injuries on London’s roads last year, compared to the year before, there’s a decrease of 23 percent – suggesting that the roads could be becoming safer.
