Increase in Personal Injury Compensation for Teachers

Over the last four years the personal injury compensation paid out to teachers throughout the UK has significantly increased; with payouts covering a wide range of personal injury cases.

According to the latest figures which were published over the last week, the biggest personal injury compensation payout received was £500,000 for a teacher from the East Midlands who suffered back injuries, when the lift they were in suddenly fell.

The latest figures have also revealed that one teacher received £14,000 for a dislocated ankle after slipping on grease in the dining hall; another teacher received over £12,500 after suffering a broken wrist when they slipped on a wet floor; whilst £110,000 was paid out to a teacher who suffered damaged ligaments and a dislocated ankle after stepping into a deep pothole in the school grounds.
