At the end of last week it was announced that officials in the US are considering imposing visas restrictions on the visas of Chinese hackers who intend to attend two popular conferences during the summer.
According to reports, the visas restrictions could be imposed as part of a broader effort to curb Chinese cyber espionage; and are set to be imposed on visas of Chinese nationals looking to attend the conferences in August.
The news that the restrictions could be imposed follows reports that up-to a dozen Chinese citizens were unexpectedly denied visas earlier this month to attend a space and cyber conference in the US.
