At Howe+Co Solicitors, we are committed to providing expert legal support and guidance to individuals facing immigration issues, asylum claims, and human rights challenges. Our dedicated team has years of experience navigating the complex immigration system, ensuring that each client receives the highest level of care and legal representation.

Asylum Claims

Asylum is the legal protection granted to individuals who have fled their home country due to fear of persecution. At Howe+Co, we understand the emotional and legal challenges faced by asylum seekers. Our team is dedicated to providing the highest level of support, assisting clients through the asylum application process, and ensuring their rights are upheld.

We offer the following services:

  • Asylum Applications: Our solicitors guide you through the asylum application process, ensuring that all necessary evidence is presented to support your claim for asylum.
  • Appeals and Legal Challenges: If your asylum claim has been rejected, we provide expert legal advice on appealing the decision and challenging the Home Office’s decision through the appropriate legal channels.
  • Detention and Deportation Issues: We assist individuals detained under immigration powers who are facing deportation, fighting for their release, and offering legal remedies to prevent removal from the UK.
  • Administrative Review & Judicial Review: Where there is no right of appeal, we will consider if there is a potential Administrative Review and/or Judicial Review available.

Human Rights Law

Human rights law is fundamental to protecting individuals from violations and ensuring fairness in the treatment of every person. Our team provides legal assistance in cases where a person’s human rights have been infringed upon, including situations involving persecution, torture, inhumane treatment, and violations of personal freedoms.

Our human rights services cover:

  • Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights: Protection against torture, inhuman or degrading treatment, and punishment. We help individuals who face the risk of torture or mistreatment in their home country.
  • Right to Family Life (Article 8): We assist clients seeking to maintain or establish family relationships, particularly where immigration law threatens the ability to live together as a family.
  • Protection for Vulnerable Individuals: We provide legal representation to victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, and other vulnerable individuals whose human rights are at risk.

Legal Aid Eligibility

At Howe+Co, we understand that access to quality legal representation should not be restricted by financial constraints. Our immigration department provides a range of services through legal aid, depending on eligibility. Legal aid may cover various immigration matters, including asylum claims, appeals, and challenges to immigration decisions.

To determine your eligibility for legal aid, we offer a free initial consultation. During this consultation, we will assess your circumstances, including your financial situation, and provide you with information on how to proceed.

If you do not qualify for Legal Aid, we can refer you to our Private Immigration Department who will be able to assist you on a privately funded basis.
