Things to consider before applying for a visa

October 2024

1. Sponsor’s letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips confirming the

employment.

2. A signed contract of employment for the Sponsor for her work and employmen 

3. Payslips covering any period of salaried employment (current and previous) in the period of 12 months prior to the date of application, for the Sponsor and their/all employments.

4. A P60 for the relevant period(s) of employment relied upon for the Sponsor’s/work/office/employer.

5.  ersonal bank statements corresponding to the same period(s) as the payslips showing that the salary has been paid into an account in the name of the person or in the name of the person and their partner jointly, for Sponsor for Work/Company/ Employer

6. E idence showing the Sponsor’s right to be in the UK, such as a passport, biometric residence card, or vignette. T is is not required if the Sponsor has only digital status 

7. Cop  of the biodata page of the passport or travel document for the Sponsor 

8.  ponsor’s Family details

9. The language test certificate forthe  Applicant to prove the level of English language required

A1, A3 or B1 from the authorised test service provider

10. Applicant’s Proof of relationship to your partner

11. Applicant’s Nepalese Passports (previous and current with all travel stamps) and details of travel history for the last 10 years. 

The passports or travel documents must be valid, be in good condition, and have at least one blank page for your  isa. If you have evidence of your travel history in a different passport, you may want to submit that with your application 

12. Applicant’s Birth Certificate

14. National registration ID Card (English translation if required

Documents supporting my other reasons to stay in the UK

1. Evidence of Applicant’s and sponsor’s council tax costs for the accommodation in the UK where you live or will live  A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips confirming;

2.       A P60 for the relevant period(s) of employment relied upon

3.       Personal bank statements showing the money you receive from your other income sources has been paid into your account or an account in your and your partner’s names 

4.       Evidence to support the claim it would be difficult for them to establish a private life outside the UK for Applicants, such as cover letters or statements.

5.       A marriage certificate, or a reasonable equivalent for the Applicant and sponsor

6.       Evidence of where children live with their parents – such as utility bills, letters from schools 

7.       Any medical documents

8.       Items of correspondence addressed to Applicant and Sponsor at the same address as evidence you have been living together since your last grant of leave in this category, or from the date you first started living together, covering the last 2 years You must provide at least 6 items of correspondence, addressed to you and your partner jointly or in both your names. The dates of the items of correspondence should be spread evenly over the whole 2 years. They should be from at least 3 different sources. If you do not have enough items in your joint names, you may also provide items addressed to each of you individually if they show the same address for both of you. For example – 4 items of correspondence in joint names to the same address and 2 items addressed to each partner at the address. In total 8 items would need to be submitted. If you and your partner have no bills or correspondence in joint names, you will need to submit 12 items (6 each) of correspondence evidencing that you reside together at the same address.

Your application may be rejected if you do not provide all mandatory documents. If your application is rejected due to documents not being provided, it will not be considered, and an administration fee for each person included in the application will be deducted from your refund.

6.       Six letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years

17.   Any other documents: If you have received a new passport since your last leave to remain application, and your visa is in your old passport, you must include both passports. If you do not provide any of these documents, the UKVI may not be able to make a decision on your application. Note that the UKVI may occasionally ask you to provide other documents in addition to those listed. Your application may be rejected if you do not provide all mandatory documents. Suppose your application is rejected due to documents not being provided.
