Current Inquiries

"From Hillsborough to the child sex abuse scandal to Grenfell Tower, the pattern is consistent. Working class people’s voices are ignored by those in power."

Inquiries remain a specialism of Howe+Co, through their determination to represent and fight for their clients and ensure that they are cared for from the incident through to the end of the Inquiry.

Our team will not only represent you at the Inquiry but will ensure that all of the related legal matters such as personal injury, inquests or any other matter are also handled with the sensitivity required. All Inquiry work is headed by a Partner, with the support of senior staff.

The Grenfell Tower Inquiry

The Inquiry will investigate whether public bodies and other non-state institutions or organisations in Britain and internationally have contributed to the needless loss of life and injury that occurred on the 14 June 2017 and the days that followed.

Howe+Co represent a large number of persons affected by the fire, to determine what events led up to the fire, what events occurred during the fire and what happened after the fire was dealt with.

Howe+Co will continue to seek to ensure other Core Participants are able to have their account told and give their contribution. We will further assist in not just obtaining accountability against the perpetrators but also compensation for the victims of  this terrible tragedy.

The Infected Blood Inquiry

It will also ascertain as far as practicable, the likely numbers of people who have been infected (directly or indirectly) and examine whether, in addition to the HIV, Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B (“HCV” and “HBV”) viruses with which it is known that people were infected, people may have been exposed to the risk of other diseases (such as vCJD) in consequence of the use of infected blood or infected blood products.
