Following the recommendation of Sir Wyn Williams, Chair of the Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, the Government has agreed to set up a compensation scheme in the next few months for the family members of postmasters who were personally impacted by the Post Office Horizon IT scandal. We are working hard, along with others, to ensure the scope of the scheme accords with the recommendations of Sir Wyn in his Volume 1 Report published on 8 July 2025.
